When Tony Nichols arrived at the local doggy daycare to pick up his Corgi named Chip, he expected the usual end-of-the-day routine. He anticipated a happy greeting, the jingle of a collar, and a tired dog ready for a nap in the car.

Laarni explained that while Chip often sleeps in this vulnerable, belly-up position at home, he had never done it in public before. This was also his very first time displaying such a high level of comfort at the daycare facility.
The peaceful moment did not last long, however, as Tony caught the transition on camera just in time. Within seconds, Chip flipped back onto his feet and jumped straight into a game with a nearby dog.
The couple eventually learned that Chip’s playmate was a female dog named Lily, who is known at the facility for being quite vocal. The staff noted that Chip and “Barking Lily” have become inseparable best friends who share the same high energy levels.
As soon as Chip realized his owner was watching through the window, his priorities shifted instantly. He stopped his play session, flashed a doggy grin, and focused entirely on Tony, ready to finally head home.
The video of the Corgi’s dramatic relaxation has since gone viral, reaching over 600,000 views and generating over 100,000 likes. Viewers were delighted by the pup’s ability to switch from total laziness to high-speed play in the blink of an eye.
